Thealoz® - a new alternative for Dry Eye is now available in the UK

Spectrum Théa Pharmaceuticals Ltd are proud to be launching a product which offers a completely new alternative in the management of Dry Eye patients. 

Rather than just supplementing the existing tears, Thealoz^® also works by protecting the cells of the cornea and conjunctiva and giving resistance to dryness. This makes it perfect for patients with moderate to severe Dry Eye and means that Thealoz^® is an ideal addition to your Dry Eye products because it works in a different way to anything else currently available. 

Thealoz^® contains 3% trehalose which protects the cells of the cornea and conjunctiva. Studies1,2 have shown that Thealoz significantly improves TBUT (tear break up time) and signs of corneal damage (as measured by Fluorescein and Rose Bengal staining scores) in patients with moderate to severe Dry Eye within two weeks of use.

Thealoz^® is presented as a sterile, preservative-free, isotonic, and pH neutral aqueous ophthalmic solution, in the ABAK^® system and is contact lens compatible. It is the perfect partner to Hyabak^® (0.15% sodium hyaluronate) which is intended for those with mild to moderate Dry Eye and also comes in a preservative free, multidose ABAK^® bottle.These multidose bottle can be used for up to 8 weeks from opening but are no bigger than a single multi-dose unit.
